Help Us Capture the Value
The Benefit Bank is Procurement Services’ centralized tool for documenting savings, cost avoidance, and other measurable value generated through purchasing activities across Tulane.
These benefits may result from contract negotiations, competitive pricing, supplier discounts, cooperative contracts, process improvements, or other procurement and departmental strategies. Recording this information helps Tulane understand the university-wide value created through effective purchasing decisions by all departments in conjunction with Procurement.
What Should Be Submitted?
Submit a Benefit Bank entry when a purchasing activity results in a measurable benefit, such as:
- Negotiated savings
- Competitive pricing savings
- Contract or supplier discounts
- Cost avoidance
- Rebates or credits
- Process efficiencies with a measurable financial benefit
How to Submit a Benefit
Use the Benefit Bank form to provide the purchasing details, describe the benefit, and identify how the value was calculated. The form is designed to take only a few minutes.
Procurement Services may contact you if additional information is needed to validate or categorize the submission.
How the Information Is Used
Benefit Bank submissions are reviewed and used to measure the overall impact of Tulane Procurement’s, identify opportunities, and support university-wide analysis and strategic planning. The Benefit Bank is a value-tracking tool and does not replace departmental financial records or budget reporting.
