Health Sciences Center Storeroom Policies and Procedures

The Department of Materials Management operates a material storeroom in Room 1101 of the Hutchinson Memorial Building.  Hours of operation are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM daily.

The TUHSC Storeroom has partnered with Fisher Scientific to accommodate all of your lab supply needs.

Inventory: The storeroom stocks a wide range of research laboratory items.

Ordering: Items may be ordered from the TUHSC Storeroom via Fisher Scientific.

Delivery: Ordered material is delivered daily throughout the Health Sciences Center complex.  While we attempt to have all items in stock, backorders do occur.  If a line item is on backorder, we will deliver partial shipments and bill your department for material delivered.  Backordered material is delivered upon receipt and billed after delivery.

Billing: Material is billed against your account after your order is delivered.

Returns: Material that is stocked by the storeroom may be returned for full credit if returned within ten business days after delivery if it is in its original packaging accompanied by a copy of the original order document or receipt.  Material that is special ordered through the storeroom will be accepted for return to the vendor only in accordance with the vendor’s return policy.  Many special order items may incur a restocking charge that must be borne by the department.
